Main Teaching Pastor

Brandon McPherson

Brandon began preaching in 2007 in Ashland, Virginia. He later served in Mississippi as a youth pastor, where his wife Kelsey faithfully ministered as the children’s director. From there, he pastored in St. Louis before returning to Virginia in 2015, where he has continued serving in pastoral ministry. Brandon and Kelsey were married in 2011 and have been blessed with four children: Ezekiel, Sparrow, Phoebe, and Olive. As a family, they enjoy playing board games, going on adventures together, and watching baseball.

At Cornerstone, we believe that Christ has ordained a plurality of elders to shepherd His church, laboring together in the ministry of the Word and prayer for the good of the flock. As reflected in the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession, each local church is to be led by qualified men who serve as overseers under Christ, the Chief Shepherd. At present, we are praying and working toward that biblical model, and until the Lord raises up and establishes a plurality of elders among us, we consider ourselves a church in formation rather than completion. This is not our long-term aim, but a temporary season of dependence upon God as we seek to be ordered more fully according to His Word.
